Where do I begin? My husband and I absolutely love Kate and her ability to capture emotions through photos in such a flawless way. Kate took our engagement photos in Joshua Tree, my Boudoir photos (if you're thinking about doing it - DO IT!) , and our wedding photos - all of which took our breath away. Kate is beyond talented and is just the best human. We always felt comfortable with her and were able to be ourselves which makes for the best photos. We trusted her from day one and so glad we did! I don’t even have enough kind words to describe Kate. She captured our day even better than I could have dreamed of and my husband and our family will cherish her work for a lifetime. Just WOW. Not only is she excellent at her craft but she is kind and was a pleasure to work with. Being in a lot of weddings before our own I appreciated her energy just from meeting with her remotely as I was a destination bride and then even more so the wedding day. Having her as apart of our day felt so natural and comfortable even though we had never met! She knocked out the family photo combinations and the additional shots without me or anyone in my family having to pull out a shot list. Choosing Kate as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions my husband and I made when planning our wedding! Not only is she extremely skilled in photography and takes the most gorgeous photos, she is truly the most kind and sweet person. By the end of it, she felt more like a friend — we miss her already! From the beginning, communicating with Kate was so easy. She was quick to respond to emails and even scheduled a call to get to know us better as a couple. My husband and I are not very comfortable in front of the camera, but Kate put us at complete ease — we trusted her immediately during our engagement photo shoot. We fell in love with her photography and editing style — she is great at capturing candid moments and focuses on all of your guests so you can remember everything about your day.
By the time our wedding came around, we knew we were in great hands. She has an incredible eye for detail, acts as a fly on the wall (she captures the best moments you wouldn’t think of), and is great with making you feel super comfortable. Kate is also so quick to deliver photos without sacrificing quality — I was not expecting to receive as many sneak peek photos as I did in such a short amount of time. We were completely blown away by our photos and are so grateful we had Kate to capture our special day. Highly recommend hiring her for your wedding — we promise you won’t regret it!!!

I am late in writing this review, but please don't let my tardiness detract from our sincerity. You simply will not find a more dedicated, thoughtful and skilled wedding photographer than Kate Van Amringe. If you are looking for the Jane Bond of photography, look no further - she is one bad@$$ woman! Described by one of my bridesmaids (who'd previously been in four other weddings) as, "the most efficient wedding photographer I have ever been around," and another bridesmaid as, "the photographer I wish I had hired for my own wedding," we are now proud to call her a friend. Photographs are perhaps the one wedding keepsake you can pass down through generations. Kate is the best return on investment you will get.

There are too many good things to say about Kate. She was so helpful during our planning process and made us feel at ease about everything. On the day of our wedding, she was a superstar. Literally everyone had a comment afterwards about how sweet and kind our photographer was, while still herding everyone like cats to where they needed to be. She set the tone for the day, and was consistently upbeat and a joy to be around. She worked flawlessly with our videographer and they each got everything that they needed without making us feel like we were being pulled in two directions. We got our photos back way faster than we expected, which was an added bonus. And they are STUNNING. We are in love with them and will cherish them forever. We can’t thank you enough, Kate! We had such a great time with Kate, and are beyond thrilled with our photos! We hired her for both our engagement shoot and our wedding, and all of the photos from both are beautiful. Kate is a DREAM to work with and I cannot recommend her more highly!! Despite COVID postponements, a change of venue two months before our wedding and more, Kate was a joy to work through it all, staying positive and flexible throughout the entire process. Brides: I know everyone say this, but it is true-- your wedding day will go by in a blur and I cannot emphasize enough how much you will want these moments captured!
