LIKE I SAID. I like people, I crave connection, you rarely find me without a camera in my hands, and I lOVE, love. I suppose it was only a matter of time before wedding photography weaseled its way into my life. The rush I feel with lovers in front of my lens is insurmountable and I find joy in each and every couple that comes my way - I truly thrive off it.
The fact that I get to make art out of your love is possibly more than I can handle. My couples are more than just couples to me, they become dear friends. If you're looking for just a vendor to simply show up on your day, document and leave, I can tell you we probably won't be a good fit. I aim to feel more like a friend, a stand in bridesmaid, a jill of all trades, than a vendor on your day.
I am everywhere and nowhere all at once. Because of my documentary style, I aim to capture moments as they happen in real time. I like to stay out of the way as much as possible but I am also there chatting up your great aunt, helping you button up your bustle at the reception, grabbing you water, and, of course, joining you on the dance floor at the end of the night.
Capturing love is an honor that never lessens for me and I feel so lucky to have you here!
Kate, the "yes!" girl!
I asked her, would you be willing to travel an hour and a half away? "yes!" Would you be willing to shoot by a lake in the middle of December? "yes!"
Can you squeeze me in next week before my reception? "yes!"
Are you going to make me take off my coat now... "YES!"
Kate bent over backwards to make things happen and she over delivered on product. I've never been photographed before with my husband so we both felt a little insecure in gazing into each other's eyes with an audience, but she made us feel so comfortable. We laughed, we joked, and we shivered. All to capture a moment in time that we will cherish forever. The photos turned out better than I could have ever imagined, I am so thankful!
